If it matters, this copy of Windows 7 is a licensed version. I've shut down the VM and restarted a few times I've rebooted the host OS a few times, and have always gotten the same result. Under Virtual Machine -> Settings -> Keyboard & Mouse, there are four "profiles" listed: "Mac Profile", "Profile - Default", "Windows 10 Profile" and "Windows 8 Profile". This issue can affect multiple version of Windows 10 intermittently, depending on applications used. I've tried various permutations of the "auto-detect mouse for games/never optimize for games/always optimize for games" setting, but those didn't seem to help. After a recompose, refresh, or rebalance operation with a persistent disk, Windows 10 start menu, search, store apps does not work to mouse clicks, starting with the logon. If I hit Control-Command, then the host OS takes back control of the mouse, but as soon as I click into the guest VM, I lose control of the mouse. Click the Apple (top left) > System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy > VMWare Fusion should already be in the list, (if not you will need to add. When it touches the edge the pointer jumps to the left about a 1/4' regardless of which side. Specifically, I move the pointer toward the edge of the window. If your mouse moves in the virtual machine but the mouse clicks are not being recognized, see Mouse clicks are not recognized in a VMware Fusion virtual machine (2010041). When resizing a window, if I want to move a side, the pointer has to be 1/4' away from the window. I see the problem on both 32 and 64 bit Win7 VMs. I can see the mouse in the guest VM, but I cannot move it. I'm running OSX 10.10.5 and Fusion 8.5.5. I got to the Win7 login page, and I was able to type in the password, but for whatever reason, the VM doesn't take control of the mouse. I managed to get the VMWare Tools upgraded, and after a reboot or two, the display started to render properly. The first problem was the display in the VM was pretty garbled. In vcenter i created a Cluster and inside that created a new virtual machine Win XP 32 bit. for Vcenter Everything woks good until this. I have vmware workstation 14 installed inside which i have esxi 6 server 2k12 ad another 2k12 srvr. So I've downloaded the trial version of Fusion 11.5.1. I have setup vmware lab at home on my computer. I've upgraded to Catalina, at which point the VM stopped working (I got a black screen after the initial Windows loading screen). I've got a Win7 VM that I've had for years now, running on an older version of VMWare Fusion (I think that was version 7 as well).
